CHINITA'S FAIR...!!!

The story of the patron saint of Zulia, the Virgin of Chiquinquira, also known as "La Chinita", began on the shores of Lake Maracaibo, the site where hundreds of women gathered to wash their clothes and their families'. There, an elderly woman found a board that decided to use as a vase lid.

When reaching home, she realized that the planchette had recorded some religious image that time and water had been ordered to erase. He decided to hang the picture on a wall.

The celebrations in honor of La Chinita paralyze all Zulia. From 17 until 19 November.

The festivities begin on the 17th with a "Corridas", followed by "Amanecer Gaitero" party where music group play all night, groups of "Gaita" and other types.

After the "Amanecer Gaitero", is going to "Luis Aparicio" stadium, to the clasic baseball game.

In the afternoon, take another "Corrida" in addition to parties outside the church of St John of God, also called the "Basilica de la Chinita" where, after the procession of the image, there are groups that sing pipers their patron.

Here governments make a number of important events, receiving our patron and welcoming Christmas. I like going to the lights on the avenue "Bella Vista", I like going to the "AMANECERES GAITEROS" , a game of "LA CHINITA" (is a baseball game). But I do not like "CORRIDAS" because the peoplee are cruel against bulls .

Halloween...!!

Halloween is a holiday celebrated on the night of October 31. Traditional activities include trick-or-treating, bonfires, costume parties, visiting "haunted houses" and carving jack-o-lanterns. Irish and Scottish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twentieth century including Ireland, the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom as well as of Australia and New Zealand.

Trick-or-treating, is an activity for children on or around Halloween in which they proceed from house to house in costumes, asking for treats such as confectionery with the question, "Trick or treat?" The "trick" part of "trick or treat" is a threat to play a trick on the homeowner or his property if no treat is given. Trick-or-treating is one of the main traditions of Halloween. It has become socially expected that if one lives in a neighborhood with children one should purchase treats in preparation for trick-or-treaters.

In my country, halloween is only celebrated with a party, a lot of people don't know, why they do a halloween parties and if they have a reason to do it, that's good enough to do it.

Climate Change

Climate change is a change in the statistical distribution of weather over periods of time that range from decades to millions of years. It can be a change in the average weather or a change in the distribution of weather events around an average (for example, greater or fewer extreme weather events). Climate change may be limited to a specific region, or may occur across the whole Earth.

In recent usage, especially in the context of environmental policy, climate change usually refers to changes in modern climate (see global warming). For information on temperature measurements over various periods, and the data sources available, see temperature record. For attribution of climate change over the past century, see attribution of recent climate change.
